How free monthly short-term parking works

Edited

If your lot uses Parkade to provide members with a certain amount of free short-term reservation hours per month, here's how that works.

Free monthly hours are tracked on a rolling 60-day period, counting reservations in the past 30 days and within the next 30 days.

A short-term reservation that used free hours will no longer count against a member's available free hours once it's been more than 30 days since that reservation.

For example, let's say your lot provides members with 36 hours of free short-term parking per month.

  • If a member hasn't used any free hours yet, then makes a 36-hour reservation for today and tomorrow. They won't have any free hours available again until after 30 days from now.

  • If a member hasn't used any free hours yet, then makes a 10-hour reservation 15 days from now. They'll get those 10 hours back in 45 days (15 days until the reservation happens, and then 30 days so that the reservation is more than 30 days in the past). They'll also have access to the remaining 26 free hours.
